About us

Careereon began as a mission to create a new system for Job-Seekers looking to take their next career
step, and for Companies who need Top Talent to make their businesses thrive. We believe that Connection and Personalization between the two should be the First Step of the hiring process, not step five or six, after weeks and months of waiting.

Today, the hiring system most commonly used is through online platforms that look great, leverage cool technology, promote ease of use, and also boast millions of members. Thus, it makes perfect sense that as the need arises to hire or to find a new job, most people look to these platforms as the solution. However, the Time, Effort, and Cost for both companies and career builders to find that solution is significant, and unnecessary.

The current hiring system has one objective – Grow Revenue. That is of course paramount to the success of every business, but the imbalance between that goal and the goals of their users is significant. With requirements for their users to provide detailed personal information, constant solicitation to upgraded levels of membership, and frequent offers for related services that suggest you will accomplish your career or hiring goals more quickly through their purchase, today’s system is far more weighted to serve the site than its Company and its Individual Members.

Careereon believes there is a better way. Our system removes the many obstacles placed in the way of the only two people who matter in the hiring process – Job Seeker and Hiring Manager. We do not believe in software programs and algorithms to determine whether talented people and companies can connect with one another. Hiring and Career Building is hard work, and the Top Priority for every Business, while Life-Changing for the Job-Seeker. Reinventing ‘The System’, built on a foundation of Personalization and Connection at the front-end of the hiring process will create more successful, timely, and effective outcomes that everyone in the hiring process wants most.

Why am I getting little to no response from my Job Search?

There are many factors that contribute the level of response you will receive in a job search. We will work with you one-on-one to analyze your current strategy, and help you build a strategy that includes multiple tactics from Resume Review to Interview Prep, to Career Networking and Social Media

Do I increase my chances of getting a callback, interview or a job by submitting to anything and everything as part of my Job Search?

The short answer is no. Papering the industry with your resume would seem to up the percentages of response, but where you are likely to have greater interest in some companies over others, you would not want to apply for a marginal fit only to find that ‘perfect fit’ open two weeks later at the same company. We will help you to do a targeted search that focuses in on a wide variety of companies within your industry that maximizes your opportunity and properly focuses on what you are looking to do next.

What if my Career Goals differ from my most recent work history?

Changing Careers is common, and can be done if you are willing to work at it. We will work with you to identify your Skills and Foundational Attributes that translate across a variety of industries and companies and help you to target the best opportunities to make that move!
