The Daenerys Targaryen
The True Leader of people. She is wise, strong, and has sacrificed a great deal in the interest of others and for the greater good. While not everyone can handle someone of such confidence, righteousness, and strategic brilliance, most do immediately or come around to that understanding quickly enough. Seeing her in action, transforming teams, people and the business, creates belief that she is the real deal and someone we would be wise to hitch our wagon to. Wherever Daenerys is going, we want to go along for the ride, knowing she will take us somewhere special.
The Lord Balish / Littlefinger
Littlefinger is the person we love to hate. We can see that they have risen through the organization because of their brilliant mind for business, their executive presence, and the charm to draw people to them, which they do without fail wherever they go. Yet there is something about them that just never seems truly trustworthy. The longer you work with Littlefinger, the more you see how he leverages his strongest talents not to further the business or those around him, but only to serve himself. You hear rumors, stories from those who’ve worked alongside Littlefinger, and eventually learn that hard lesson for yourself the lengths that Littlefinger will go to move his agenda forward, leaving you and anyone else in his wake.
The Jon Snow
Like Ned Stark, the father who raised him, Jon Snow is man of conviction and like Daenerys, Brienne, and Ned, will always choose the greater good over what may be in his own best interest. He is a natural leader, willing to get his hands dirty, and never above even the most menial tasks if it serves his people, customers, and the business. He is a proud family man, who values your family almost as much as he values his and will do anything to protect and to help you if you are part his team, his work family. Working alongside the Jon Snow makes you proud, and keeps you calm, knowing that nothing will ever get too bad before Jon swoops in to make it right, and help us all be okay.
The Samwell Tarly
Sam is the unheralded hero of the office. He is never loud or boisterous, does not possess the charm or personality of some of the more popular people, but once looked at as sort of a ‘Steady Eddie’, you come to realize that, like many others, there is much more to Sam than meets the eye. Without showing it off, you see that Sam has an incredibly high intellect, and although lacks the natural talent in any single skill, you see how he puts in the effort to become exceptionally good at many things. Over time, this makes Sam among the most indispensable colleagues you have, and even if he will never be a Jon Snow, you feel equally calm and secure when Sam is around, knowing that he knows his stuff, and will always jump in to help when things go sideways.
The Cersei Lannister
We cringe just saying the name. We can’t imagine how she rose to prominence and power in this business, and even after working with her awhile, you are unable to find even a single redeeming quality. She is here for one reason only, and that is to serve herself. She is on a permanent power trip with an insatiable appetite for the executive suite, complete with the status, title and money that come with it. Cersei is willing to take credit for every business achievement that happens during her tenure, and immediately passes responsibility to others for every failure. To call her self-serving or narcissistic is probably your nicest way of describing her, and you would never say such a thing without looking over both shoulders to make absolutely sure she is nowhere within earshot of your lightly whispered comment. She truly strikes fear in those around her, and you long for the days of Robert Baratheon whom you remember more and more fondly with each passing moment that Cersei is in charge.
