Position Description
The On-Call Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the On-Call Residential staff pool, ensuring quality, effectiveness, size and utilization of on-call resources. This includes providing training, guidance and support to staff as well as working collaboratively with Facility Administrators, House Managers, and Residential Leadership to identify and address the staffing needs of the Residential Programs. This role will have contact across the entire residential network, and will support unifying and standardizing processes and development of staff across the department. This Program Manager position is seen as a Leadership role and is responsible for modeling exceptional collaboration and communication skills, and supporting a culture of excellence within the agency.
- Coordinate and lead the hiring and training of On-Call Residential staff.
- Act as a dispatcher for residential managers, fielding staffing requests and assisting in finding coverage for open shifts.
- Create and maintain an online scheduler and send it out to management and on-calls each month.
- Monitor and address performance and development measures for both individual On-Call Residential staff and the overall pool of On-Call Residential staff.
- Adhere to New Narrative’s On-Call policy and track relevant data of shift coverage, attendance, etc.
- Provide twice monthly supervision, in person, to all On-Call Residential staff
- Actively participate in process improvement opportunities within the residential network and across the greater agency, as appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with Residential Leadership, Quality and Impact, and Human Resources to create and implement efficient systems and processes for managing the On-Call pool and program needs
Experience/Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years supervisory experience
- Understanding of mental health service delivery in a residential setting.
- Demonstrated supervisory and leadership ability.
- Ability to coordinate closely with a multi-disciplinary team
