About the Artist Services Intern BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Role:
BRIC seeks an Artist Services Intern who will support the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! team in a front-facing role by ensuring each artist has a superb experience working with BRIC and assisting with various aspects of concert production and artist relations. The Artist Services Intern will be an organized self-starter who is excited and passionate about music and the arts, as they will gain first-hand live event experience at one of New York’s premiere summer music festivals. This intern will see the administrative process before, during, and after the festival, and be closely involved in every show. Through this experience the intern will gain valuable skills related to talent management, artist relations, contract administration, and event production.
What You’ll Do in the Role:
The Artist Services Intern will be responsible for the following in addition to any other project as assigned by their manager, the Producer, BCB:
- Work closely alongside Producer from planning and advancing performances to wrap up and post-mortems.
- Attend all performances.
- Coordinate (pre-show) and Manage (on-site) Artist and VIP Guest Lists
- Collaborate with our marketing team and assist with artist social media tracking
- Assist with artist arrivals (load-in) and departures (load-out)*
- Support and assist with pre-season planning of on-site staff training
- Participate in all festival training.
- Assist Program Associate in arranging artist hotel and ground transportation
- Support festival hospitality needs of staff and artists.
- Participate in weekly Performing Arts team meetings.
- Assist in the development of relationships with artists and provide additional support for rehearsals, performances, and performing arts operations to ensure high-quality artist/audience experience and production values

- Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelors, Masters, or currently pursuing degree in related field
- Self-directed and proactive, self-starter and a problem solver
- Highly organized with sharp attention to detail
- Upholds a strict level of confidentiality
- Outgoing and friendly with strong interpersonal and verbal skills
- Enthusiasm for engaging with the public onsite, with utmost professionalism
- Knowledge and keen interest in music and the performing arts is desirable
- Computer literate

Other Things to Know:
- The rate of pay for this position is $15/hr. Meals provided on show days. College students pursuing credit for this internship can also be supported.

- This is an event-based internship, so in-person availability on nights and weekends in the summer is a must. Shows typically occur on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Must be available to work most shows.
