Piper Companies is seeking a Big Data Engineer to deliver engineering services that involve cluster installation, ETL, solution design, application development and platform services.
The ideal candidate would have experience with Machine Learning/ AI and Big Data technologies and architecting, administrating, configuring, installation and maintenance of Open Source Big-data applications.
- 10+ years’ experience design/implementation/consulting experience of large-scale distributed systems and enterprise applications; Technical degree required (or equivalent work experience); Computer Science background highly desired
- Enterprise and modern cloud architecture experience, certifications, and building modern cloud native strategies; Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies including DevSecOps, software-defined infrastructure, micro-services, container orchestration, observability and data governance and visualization
- High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations, with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Executive leadership/technology team management experience
Compensation for the Big Data Engineer to include:
• Pay Rate: $65-95/hr. W2
Salary Range: $135,000-185,000k base salary
