Description:
The College of Arts and Sciences is seeking to hire an experienced College/Division HR Coordinator, Senior with a strong international background. This position will manage the day-to-day process related to an assigned portfolio of departments for the College of Arts and Sciences. This position will also, collaborate and work with teams across the college, as well as departments to ensure all documentation is submitted timely to university human resources and all policies and procedures are followed.
The College/Division HR Coordinator, Senior will serve as a lead in the human resources unit for the college. This position will supervise process and procedures to ensure guidelines and deadlines are met. The senior HR Coordinator will manage the day-to-day task for all international hires with the College of Arts and Sciences. Collaborate with International Student & Scholar Services to ensure that COAS international hires, students, and scholars are able encounter a smooth process by providing assistance and support. Be the college expert that will collaborate with International Student & Scholar Services and the HR Coordinator to help the international students and scholars with their initial adjustment to the university, provides information and advice about immigration regulations, cultural differences, financial matters, and personal concerns.
The essential duties and responsibilities of the College/Division HR Coordinator, Senior are the following:
- Collaborates with all levels of management across the college to ensure process and procedures are followed as it relates to hiring all staff, faculty, fee-based, and students.
- Serves as HR Coordinator, Senior lead to ensure standard hiring process and procedures are followed at the department level; manage the faculty and staff clearance process; approves MSS transactions for the college at level 3 for all employees, and monitors adjustments for time and absence requests for all employees.
- Respond to inquiries from teams, central payroll office in regard to over and underpayments, charging discrepancies, terminations, amendments, allowable pay ranges, and the procedures that govern over the limit payments.
- Coordinates the yearly performance evaluation process for staff and target dates. Reviews the documentation and approves for submission to central human resources, reviews monthly reports from the university for feedback and tracking.
- Manages the faculty and staff clearance process; approves MSS transactions for the college at level 3 for all employees; monitors adjustments for time and absence requests for all employees.
- Provides training to necessary staff across teams on processes and systems utilized by the college and university.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and four years of related experience, or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Requirements:
- Must have strong international work experience.
