Warehouse Material Handler (Irvine)

Position Description

Applied Medical is looking for Material Handlers in our Warehouse and Sterilization teams.

As a Material Handler in our Warehouse team, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Perform material handling operations in warehouse and non-clean room environments
  • Count, pick and process various transfer orders
  • Distribute raw materials and semi-finished goods to various areas of Applied Medical
  • Keep parts segregated by part number and lot number for traceability
  • Contribute to a working environment that encourages suggestions for improvement and creates a cohesive team atmosphere
  • Cycle count product
  • Receive deliveries from internal and external vendors
  • Perform bin audits as required by your Team Leader

As a Material Handler in our Sterilization team, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Load and unload materials onto carriers, pallets, and other storage/transportation vehicles per instructional diagrams
  • Stage products
  • Receive and release products from the sterilization facility
  • Enter product parameter data into computer software program
  • Understand and follow Applied Medical’s Quality Systems per training
  • Operate and monitor electron beam and ethylene oxide sterilization processes and equipment
  • Generate and review documentation
  • Complete and maintain respiratory protection training and fit testing, HAZWOPER training, and DOT training as necessary to work in an ethylene oxide sterilization facility
  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • Ability to work on 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift within our Irvine Warehouse Facilities
  • Experience with warehouse operations in a manufacturing company
  • Complete forklift certification within 3 months of working in the warehouse environment
  • Ability to stand and work for several hours at a time
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Self-motivation
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Read, write and speak English
  • Understand and follow Applied Medical’s Quality Systems
  • Understand and comply with safety rules and company policies
  • 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse environment is a plus
  • PPE may include full faced respirator and clean shaven

Benefits

The base compensation range for this role is $16 – $18 / hour for the position in California. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries in California based on the date of this job posting.
