What you’ll do
DocuSign’s Product Data Science team is looking for a Senior Data Product Manager to lead the Instrumentation capabilities and Data Experience across critical Data Products that we continue to build today. You will work closely with key stakeholders and product managers across the organization to combine the voice and needs of the users and business requirements to create both high-level roadmaps and detailed delivery plans of features. The ideal candidate is a seasoned data product manager with a strong grasp of data science, analytics, product instrumentation, and user experience and a proven track record of managing several multi-year product roadmaps simultaneously. This candidate builds fantastic relationships across all levels of the organization and is recognized as a problem solver that looks to elevate the work of everyone around them. This position is an individual contributor reporting to the Principal Product Manager of Data Science and Product Insight and is designated Flex.
Responsibility
- Evaluate existing data products with the goal to improve Data Experience for stakeholders across Docusign
- Explore opportunities to build new data products with a visual focus to help users get to the right level of data visibility needed for their needs
- Develop the vision, capabilities, and roadmap for the product instrumentation to ensure we have high-quality data available during the launch of all products and features
- Partner with product managers and data scientists to understand their needs for data and metrics, and convert them into an easy to understand standardize instrumentations specs for engineering teams
- Develop and own the framework for instrumentation, governance, and quality of product data
- Be the subject matter expert in instrumentation, data lineage, and data transformation including owning, and managing data cataloging for key product data
- Establish strong relationships in engineering, product, and business teams across DocuSign
- Develop detailed product specifications with user scenarios and acceptance criteria and success measures.
- Use a metrics-driven product development approach
- Define success measures for roadmap items and demonstrate measurable impact on those success metrics
What you bring
Basic
- 8+ years in product management experience with building and delivering successful data products, data platform, and capabilities
- Experience with data science, analytics, A/B testing, and data technologies
- Hand-on experience with one of the following, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Google Analytics, Adobe Omniture, or Heap
- Hands-on experience SQL (i.e. MySQL, SQL Server, etc.)
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Qlik, Qlikview, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
- Ability to prioritize and juggle competing priorities and make decisions in ambiguous situations.
- Experience utilizing both qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis techniques
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced operational environment, drive change, and collaborate with a variety of individuals and organizational partners
- Experience presenting to and working with senior leaders
- Knowledge and experience of agile/scrum product development
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Management or related field
Preferred
- Advanced degree (MS or MBA)
- Strong leadership skill especially the ability to lead through influence across functional and organizational lines
- Analytical and collaborative qualities with strong technical, strategic and problem-solving skills
- Experience with or knowledge of machine learning (i.e. linear/logistic regression, etc.) and statistical analysis
- Experience with or knowledge of programming languages like Python, R, Java, etc.
This position is not eligible for employment in the following states: Alaska, Hawaii, Maine, Mississippi, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia and Wyoming.
This role is eligible for bonus, equity and benefits .
Based on legislation in Washington state the following details are for individuals who reside and would be working in Washington only: Washington pay range: $115,800 – $174,525 base salary
Based on legislation in California the following details are for individuals who reside and would be working in California only: California pay range: $123,600 – $202,550 base salary
