IT Product Manager

Overview

Purpose

As an IT Product Manager in the Digital Equipment Innovation team supporting the PBNA Foodservice business you will have a unique opportunity to influence and transform PepsiCo’s digital equipment solutions.

Responsibilities

This role will stimulate, surface and shape business demand for IT products and services and ensure the potential business value is captured, optimized and recognized.

This role will partner with business functions across Foodservice including Marketing, Strategy, R&D, Design and Equipment Service to understand business problems and develop strategies and plans for IT solutions to those problems. The Product Manager will serve as the single point of focus between the business and enabling IT organization to surface innovative technology solutions for POC’s, market tests and commercialized solutions.

• Product Manager for PBNA Foodservice Digital Equipment Innovation. Role is focused on the “Dispensed” space, which includes the digital platforms Spire, SodaStream Professional (SST-P) and Sentinel
• IT Innovation team Lead for Portal and Analytics solutions for all equipment
• Responsible for overall project planning, issue & risk analysis, resource planning and management, vendor management and status reporting
• Ensure integration of digital workstreams with all other program work steams (e.g. R&D, Design, Marketing, Sales, Operations) to deliver complete solutions
• Develop deep knowledge of the business and build both horizontal and vertical relationships with business and IT leaders that deliver business impact
• Partner with business Leaders and SME’s and enable them to articulate the technology needs and requirements in their function that will advance business performance
• Act as technology advisor to the business and a champion for identifying, leading and driving information technology transformation
• Ensure that the business strategy and key performance indicators are identified and leveraged for effective IT demand shaping
• Partner with business/function leaders on pre-project ideation
• Partner with enterprise architects CTO teams to develop technology enablement business capability roadmaps
• Partner with business and IT leaders to evaluate proposals, build business cases, plan new joint initiatives, and determine how they fit into business capability roadmaps and priorities
• Ensure that essential business requirements are understood and captured
• Ensure delivery of new technology solutions and capabilities in accordance with the roadmap and ensure that they meet established objectives and expectations of business partners
• Keep abreast of both internal technologies and solutions (e.g. new technical solutions being developed by our own innovation teams) and external technologies and solutions relevant to equipment innovation
• Ensure continuous improvement in value optimization, IT performance, and business processes where applicable
• Proactively identify business capability and IT service gaps and contribute to improvement efforts
• Advocate for and advance business partners’ knowledge of IT processes frameworks, roles, and capabilities
• Partner with IT Development and Support Leads to create and execute transition plans for Innovation initiatives as they commercialize

Compensation and Benefits:

• The expected compensation range for this position is between $ 91,100 – $ 150,000 based on a full-time schedule
• Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
• Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out Annually.
• Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

Qualifications

Experience

• Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in information technology
• Demonstrated track record of creating technology solutions to solve business problems
• Highly skilled at project planning, creating business requirements documents, use cases, user acceptance test plans, process flow and data flow diagrams
• Strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions in the organization
• Ability to listen, build rapport, and credibility as a strategic partner
• Ability to set expectations with business partners and effectively leverage governance for a positive business partner experience
• Strong communication skills in writing, speaking, and presenting
• An exceptional listener, able to comprehend what is said and probe for important details
• Able to communicate technical or complex subject matter in business terms
• Highly self-motivated
• Accepts ownership and welcomes responsibility
• Acumen and passion for business and technology
• Understands and keeps abreast of IT industry – emerging technologies and trends, industry standards and vendor landscape

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Experience managing Software development projects through the full project lifecycle, from initiation through implementation
• Experience supporting SW applications after implementation, including – break/fix activities, enhancements, SLA’s and metrics, vendor management, off-shoring/outsourcing
• Familiarity with Tableau and Power BI
