This leading role within our Portfolio Management team is a global role and is in a key position to influence and manage strategic components of our Zebra services portfolio. As a Product Manager for our portfolio team, this position will drive service product ideation, lead in the articulation of the portfolio vision, and drive the development and launch of innovative services to deliver the next level of growth for Zebra.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivating and Formalizing ideas & service concepts into compelling, profitable, and differentiated value propositions (scope, benefits/ value for partners, customers & Zebra sales teams; competitive benchmarks; targeted pricing; go-to-market strategy, etc.)
  • Co-creating and co-designing new services in collaboration with regional services product management and Customer Success Executives & Managers (CSE/CSM) to deliver new value to solve customer and partner operational challenges and monetize new business opportunities
  • A global role with impact in varied markets in every region of the world working in tight collaboration with regional and country sales leads; Understand international markets and adapt tactics to different needs while preserving an overall global portfolio.
  • Demonstrate exceptional ability to articulate and bring to life the Concept & Vision of new market-disrupting services and business models to executive leadership and key stakeholders
  • Extremely strong financial modeling together with experience in rapidly testing concepts in the market to demonstrate the ability to drive accelerated services revenue and margin contribution.
  • Ability to demonstrate past success in the test, launch and scale of products – ideally services. Experience in the testing, fast fail and exit while harvesting and incorporating lessons learned into development.
  • Excellent market research and analytical skills to identify market trends, recognize opportunities and work in close collaboration within Zebra and with our partners to unlock creative solutions that solve customer problems.
  • Rapid acquisition of comprehensive market knowledge, competitive landscape, customer requirements, distribution channels and Zebra offerings for assigned portfolio & product(s).
  • Creates and executes VOC and competitive landscape requirements. Leads cross-functional VOC activities. Monitors target markets and identifies opportunities for innovation.
  • Owns development and presentation of business case with supportive research, authoring slides and delivering presentations to internal and external audiences, routinely including senior & executive leadership.
  • Monitor and report business metrics against plan. Recommends metrics to assess business performance. Fully accountable for integrated business plan inputs.
  • Develops documentation of product and market requirements.
  • Owns product lifecycle management for assigned Product lines / families of moderate to high complexity, including tactical execution, managing custom requirements, developing, and driving end of life plans and execution of inventory objectives.
  • Demonstrates full knowledge of development process. May delegate and oversee the work of Portfolio Manager 1 or 2 level team members in executing tactical objectives to support execution to strategy.
  • Significant contribution to 3-5-year roadmap development process and makes recommendations on the long-term strategy for the product line.
  • Sets pricing strategy. Establishes product price to maximize sales and profitability. Recommends promotion strategy by working in collaboration with Product Marketing department. Provides recommendations to influence distribution strategy to meet market needs.
  • Supports product launch by providing a comprehensive understanding of the value proposition. Deliver product training to sales, sales engineers, technical support, and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Works closely with development teams and other key stakeholders to oversee new service development validating development is on specification. Identifies beta site targets, draft and implement plans.
  • Monitors financial performance of product lines and makes recommendations for pricing action against revenue and margin objectives. Sets target product costs for new products. Evaluates cost reduction initiatives working in concert with Sustaining Engineering, Finance and other internal partners.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or Master’s in Engineering preferred
  • 8 + years of relevant job experience and 5+ years of product management experience

  • Fluent level of English (written and verbal) as well as local language as applicable

  • Strong Presentation Skills. Formal training strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills (listening, providing clear and concise information, using proper language and grammar)
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • 10% travel domestic and international

Salary: USD 114800.00 – USD 172200.00 Yearly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
