Lead L&H Analytics Americas

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of Swiss Re Life & Health (L&H) data analytics solution for the North American Market. Your focus will be on product development, client delivery, and ongoing management of Impact+ L&H to the market.

As the Lead of L&H Analytics Americas, you will be involved in:

  • Identify and understand our client needs, priorities and strategies
  • Support origination of new opportunities
  • Leverage analytics and perform quantitative analyses to support and consult our clients on their key priorities
  • Develop new solutions where we have white spots in our offering today
  • Project management along the delivery of a client project

About the Team

The Impact+ Life & Health team, is working with clients at the intersection of technology and risk knowledge. Powered with over 150 years of risk expertise, the team has been delivering to its clients a one-stop data and analytics solution/platform; driving sustainable growth, optimize portfolios, improve efficiency and increasing customer engagement.

In this role you will be part of the newly formed Reinsurance Solutions Division and working as part of a global team to commercialize the platform and its risk utilities. The team is truly global with deep expertise in analytics, insurance, business operations and technology.

You will also be part of a wider virtual team that supports the regional growth ambition and work closely with our team of technology experts to ensure the client’s needs are appropriately translated into a deployable solution and that our existing products meet the client’s expectations. The technology teams include system architects, data engineers and data scientists.

About You

  • Good client facing and consulting skills as well as experience in running client projects while working with cross-functional and/or virtual teams
  • 5+ years Insurance experience with a solid understanding of insurance products, processes, preferred
  • Good network within your local life insurance market
  • Understands design thinking to run co-creation with insurance partners
  • Experience with data integration projects is a strong advantage
  • Experience working with data analytics platforms (e.g., Azure Databricks, Palantir Foundry, Snowflake etc.) and a solid understanding of platform architectures
  • Critical thinking analytical skills with an entrepreneurial mindset

For New York City and Armonk the estimated base salary range for this position is $128,000 to $225,000. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At Swiss Re, we take a “total compensation approach” when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
