Framatome is seeking a motivated entry level Planner Scheduler for our Lynchburg, VA office. Someone that is knowledgeable in computers and has the capacity, mindset, and willingness to learn and be trained in the required scheduling tool, Primavera.

Under close supervision, this position will be responsible for establishing and maintaining project schedules for the Nuclear Instrumentation & Controls team. Will coordinate with project partners on the development and implementation of project schedules and track and monitor project schedules through completion. Learn and implement the Operational Excellence standards for scheduling and monitoring the work.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining current project schedules based on weekly project team input.
  • Assisting in assessing the maturity of project schedules using a maturity checklist.
  • Developing the work breakdown structure for projects to meet scheduling and cost tracking requirements.
  • Participating in project teams providing valued project data and analysis.
  • Generating accurate, timely reports and schedules for management.

Travel: Occasional/sporadic

Required Experience

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for this opportunity:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a non-technical discipline, or comparable related experience in lieu of Degree.

  • Strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to take the initiative to identify and prioritize what needs to be done and do it.
  • Critical thinking skills in order to analyze, draw conclusions, and make recommendations based on data.
  • Applies a questioning attitude to weekly schedule updates (what changed, why, what is the impact to critical path and logic) as well as have the ability to identify problems and provide resolutions.
  • Demonstrate a professional demeanor and flexible attitude.
  • Experience working in a planning or scheduling position.
  • Familiarity with Project Management Institute (PMI) project management principles and techniques.
  • Experience in scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project or Primavera).
  • Familiar with project management and Critical Path Methodology (CPM) principles and techniques.

Our total rewards package

The range of base salary for the position is between $53,000 – $68,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
