The Cloud Integration Engineer will use their knowledge of public cloud platforms and automation technologies to build cutting edge hybrid cloud solutions. The candidate will work with hardware engineering, software development, and product management teams to define use cases and solution architectures, write code to connect different platforms together, and draft reference architecture guides.
What You Will Be Doing
- Implementation of cloud and container solutions that use various hypervisors, cloud platforms, and infrastructure as code frameworks
- Design and build complex solutions utilizing container persistent storage, file/block to object storage, and hybrid cloud infrastructure
- Write automation code/playbooks in one or more Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks
- Create reference solution architecture papers documenting how to build and configure hybrid cloud solutions
- Work with third party partners and vendors on new platform integrations
What You Bring To The Team (Qualifications)
- 5 years of hands-on experience with one or more public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
- 3 years of hands-on experience with infrastructure as Code frameworks such as CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, Terraform, Ansible, Vagrant, etc.
- Hands on experience with container management and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, Anthos, etc.
- Competent in Python programming with experience in infrastructure automation and interfacing with REST APIs
- Experience with Software Defined Storage and/or Hyper Converged technologies and Solutions (VMware vSAN, Nutanix, Datera, etc.) a plus
- Familiarity with enterprise storage products from Hitachi/IBM/HPE/DellEMC/NetApp a plus
- Possess the ability to work and communicate with engineering peers and the senior leadership team
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and/or Green Card Holder
As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is $90,000- $165,000.
The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Vantara’s variable pay program, subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
