Mohawk Ambulance is looking for an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our growing team!
The IT Systems Administrator would work alongside the Director of IT to ensure the company has an efficient and effective Network in place that serves the needs of the staff at Mohawk. This person would need to possess meticulous attention to detail, have outstanding problem-solving skills, work comfortably under pressure with minimal supervision, and possess strong multi-tasking skills. The IT Systems Administrator could expect to participate in any of the following duties during their daily work:
• Assist in network design and implementation.
• Provide network support with a variety of operating systems.
• Install and configure computer network equipment.
• Maintain network connectivity of all computer workstations.
• Provide network support to users and address networking issues (Cisco, LAN, WiFi, VPN and WFH).
• Maintain servers and associated hardware, applications, services and settings.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain video, data, copper cables and fiber cabling infrastructure.
• Develop and monitor policies for the use of network resources.
• Implement and manage disaster recovery and back-up.
• Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades.
• Monitor network to ensure optimal performance.
• Create and maintain network users/permissions.
• Test release of products to minimize user impact and ensure compatibility.
• Address server and security issues.
• Create technical support documentation for systems and applications.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
• At least 5 years equivalent work experience required.
• College degree in the field of Computer Science or similar preferred.
• CompTIA Net+ and/or CompTIA Security+ certifications preferred.
• Exceptional multi-tasking and project completion skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to explain concepts to non-tech clients and aptitude to understand and follow standard operating procedures.
• Ability to act as intermediaries between clients, IT team, vendors, and organization.
• Strong documentation skills, including the ability to create how-to documents for team members and end-users.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision but work as part of team on projects.
• Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, computer hardware and peripherals.
• Strong familiarity with IP protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.
• Senior level experience with Active Directory, Group Policy & User Profile Management and MFA security, MS Exchange, MS Office / 365.
• Experience supporting and maintaining Cisco, WiFi, GPS, audio-video, telecom, smartphone, EHR and telemedicine infrastructures.
