Job Summary

Texas Health Action (THA) is currently seeking a Creative Director who serves as a key member of the leadership team. The Creative Director will report to and work directly with the Chief Advancement Officer. They will further the mission and vision of THA by leading the creative vision of client retention and acquisition campaigns, programmatic materials, digital content, fundraising campaigns, and oversee the overall brand and messaging strategy across all THA programs and efforts.

Requirements

Core Functions:

  • Work with Chief Advancement Officer and other THA leaders, as appropriate, to create a brand strategy and comprehensive plan for the creative direction of the organization, including metrics and timelines, to support the mission and vision of THA in Austin, Dallas and San Antonio.
  • Collaborate with Development Director and Marketing Director to execute all campaign related materials and ensure brand and messaging consistency for THA.
  • Serve as the Chief Advancement Officer’s liaison between the marketing and creative team and between the creative team and development team to develop all materials for client-facing campaigns and fundraising campaigns, respectively.
  • Develop integrated campaigns across all marketing channels: digital, social media, paid media, mobile, and print
  • Implement the brand strategy and creative vision in alignment with THA values.
  • Ensure all creative content and campaigns reflect consistently and positively the THA brand.
  • Produce fresh, innovative campaigns for a range of audiences and markets across the state of Texas, with a focus on LGBTQIA+ communities and people impacted by HIV.
  • Supervise a cross-functional team of graphic designers, copywriters, social media coordinators and external contractors in the development of messaging and creative deliverables.
  • Serve as lead graphic designer, as needed, to create content and design campaign materials.
  • Assist in website management and web design.
  • Assist in preparing materials and reports of activities and achievements for Board meetings, monitoring progress and making recommendations to adjust where needed.
  • Manage creative activities and campaigns to budget.
  • Be a member of the THA Senior Leadership Team and collaborate with THA leaders to understand funding needs and knowledge of our programs and services.

Compensation

Based on job duties and requirements, this Director position is placed in our salary band 48 with a salaried pay range of $85,000.00 to $100,000.00. Initial placement within (or above if qualified) this range will be based on hired candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
