Purpose
The Tauber Institute Marketing and Communications Associate creates engaging content that showcases the institute’s people and programs and attracts new applicants and program sponsors. You will collaborate with Tauber institute staff and leadership to create targeted internal and external communications; create materials for website publication, social media, email marketing, and print – and work with the marketing manager to determine future content strategies. You must be an established project manager, a experienced writer, and a flexible collaborator. You will report to the Marketing and Alumni Manager.
Note: This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week. This is a 50% effort position.
Responsibilities*
Website Management and Social Media Communications
- Maintain communications content for the Tauber Institute website; maintain, and expand website offerings.
- Coordinate messaging on multiple social media platforms for prospective students, prospective sponsors, companies.
- Design, write, and schedule e-communications. Analyze data to increase contact engagement.
- Analyze the efficacy of existing website and social media strategies and work with the marketing manager to develop future strategies and campaigns.
- Identify appropriate delivery methods for communications
Marketing and Communications Projects
- Contribute multiple materials to enhance institute visibility and support institute events.
- Work with the marketing manager on student video interviews and other content marketing videos; edit video content for use in marketing and communications materials
- Support Tauber staff with event presentation editing
- Additional responsibilities may include: event planning and staffing, interviewing and news gathering, general copy editing, writing official correspondence and mission planning, providing talking points, and video production
Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor’s degree in a communications-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years of communications work experience including social media management programs, email management platforms and website management platforms
- Project management experience
- Experience with graphic design and video editing software (Adobe suite)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications
Salary Information: At the 100% effort, the salary range for this position is $42,000 – $47,000. You can expect to be paid a competitive and equitable salary. Factors used to determine salary include experience, knowledge and skills for the position. You are encouraged to discuss salary questions to honor alignment and transparency throughout the recruiting process.
