JOB SUMMARY:

The person in this position will oversee Environmental Services for the entire company. This position reports to the Senior Director- Service Lines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and manage a system to ensure safety compliance within the Environmental Services department.
  • Develop and manage a system to ensure quality control within the Environmental department.
  • Assist Branch Managers and District Directors with interviewing/hiring Environmental Services employees.
  • Develop and manage metrics and dashboards to provide constant diagnosis of service level across the entire company for the Environmental Services Department.
  • Conduct monthly Environmental Services meetings.
  • Ensure the Environmental Services department is trained and in compliance with all Insurance Company Programs and industry standard of care.
  • Industry certifications IICRC – WRT-ASD or CDS-AMRT-OCT and one additional Mold Remediation Certification such as ACAC Mold Supervisor, RIA Certified Restorer, RIA Mold Supervisor or RIA WLS
  • Provide technical support as necessary to Environmental Services employees.
  • Through innovation and constant improvement, continue to develop the Jenkins Environmental Services Department to be the industry leading provider of excellent customer service at the best profitable margin.
  • Assist Branch Managers and District Directors with customer complaints and warranty requests regarding the Environmental Services department.
  • Interact and team with other departments to provide a cohesive and excellent Jenkins experience for residential and commercial clients, Insurance companies, and Property Management Firms.
  • Assist Branch Managers with conducting Performance Reviews for the Environmental Services Department company-wide.
  • Assist Branch Managers with Performance Improvement Plans for the Environmental Services Department.
  • Occasionally run Jenkins Environmental jobs from start to finish
  • Develop working relationships with property management companies, property owners, insurance carrier, and their party administrators.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position may have supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrate the ability to write routine reports, correspondence and the ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of organization.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of industry related software such as Estimating Software (Xactimate, Symbility, T&M), Moisture Mapping Software (MoistureMapper, MICA/National Water) and TPA Platforms (Xactanalysis, Alacnet, CodeBlue, Innovation Group) , be able to “touch type” and be familiar with software like Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE:

To perform this job successfully, experience in the construction industry is essential. Prior experience in managing or estimating mitigation and remediation and/or abatement projects is required.

REASONING ABILITY:

Possess the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to climb roofs, which includes being able to carry a 28′ ladder from their truck and setting it up at the roof line of the associated property.

The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
