Job Description

CRDF Global is seeking candidates for its 2023 Summer Internship Program in support of our Development & Exchanges Division. The internship will be located in our Arlington, Virginia office and will begin on June 1st and end on August 31, 2023. We work in a hybrid environment that provides employees with a weekly mix of in-office and remote work.

The Development & Exchanges (D&E) intern will work with the D&E team to assist in project implementation, monitoring & evaluation, and research for current and future opportunities. The D&E team implements professional exchange programs, fellowships, research grant competitions, webinars, and workshops, to name a few, in support of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, DOS; the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, DOS; the Agricultural Research Service, USDA; and the US Forest Service, USDA.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who can work both independently and as part of the team to assist with the development and coordination of international projects and who enjoys working in a challenging environment.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Administrative project support including, but not limited to materials development, virtual platform development, application review and screening, etc.
  • Research for projects and business development on a variety of topics
  • Support for creation of communication and social media content
  • Gathering and organizing data for monitoring and evaluation efforts, including reports
  • Managing Salesforce database entries for project participant and resource tracking
  • Event planning and organizing, including alumni engagement events
  • Additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in related field
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
  • Ability to work at least 20 hours per week with a maximum of 28 hours per week
  • U.S. work authorization without sponsorship required

CRDF Global pays interns at a rate of $16.50 per hour.
