Job Description
CRDF Global is seeking candidates for its 2023 Summer Internship Program in support of Travel and Logistics Division. The internship will be located in our Arlington, Virginia office and will begin on June 1st and end on August 31, 2023. We work in a hybrid environment that provides employees with a weekly mix of in-office and remote work.
The Travel & Logistics (T&L) intern will work with the T&L team providing administrative support in the implementation of travel and logistics related activities; maintaining and updating electronic records and databases; preparing documents; and assisting in division level projects. This position will primarily support the Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who can work both independently and as part of the team to assist with the development and coordination of international projects and who enjoys working in a challenging environment.
Major Responsibilities:
- Administrative project support including, but not limited to materials development, virtual platform development, budget development and screening, etc.
- Supports the implementation of travel arrangements (including but not limited to airfare, lodging, meals and incidentals and ground transportation) and logistics (including but not limited venue and catering)
- Assists with preparing reports and financial data
- Maintains and updates electronic records and databases
- Additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Possesses or pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in related field
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
- An understanding of basic project management concepts
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
- Ability to work at least 20 hours per week with a maximum of 28 hours per week
- U.S. work authorization without sponsorship required
CRDF Global pays interns at a rate of $16.50 per hour.
