Job Description
CRDF Global is seeking candidates for its 2023 Summer Internship Program in support of our Nuclear Technology and Counterproliferation Iran team under the Security Assistance Division. The internship will be located in our Arlington, Virginia office and will begin on June 1st and end on August 31, 2023. We work in a hybrid environment that provides employees with a weekly mix of in-office and remote work.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who can work both independently and as part of the team on projects related to topic such as: nuclear security, safety, and nonproliferation, counterproliferation finance, and peaceful applications of nuclear technology and who enjoys working in a challenging environment. Under this role, interns will work closely with Nuclear Technology program and Iran teams on various tasks including but not limited to one of the following: Conducting subject area research; contributing to monthly program reviews; developing trainings; and assisting program teams utilizing SharePoint and Salesforce.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assist CEO on Monthly Program Reviews
- Work with team to develop and implement remote workshops and trainings
- Conduct research and help program teams design projects related to any of the following subjects:
- Nuclear security, safety, and nonproliferation
- Advanced nuclear energy reactors
- Peaceful applications of nuclear technology
- Counterproliferation finance
- Maritime security and UNSCR sanctions enforcement
- Cybersecurity as it related to non-proliferation efforts
- Work with program teams to further develop our subject-matter expert/consultant database in Salesforce
- Support growth efforts and Thought Leadership Events
- Assist other interns in the creation of a group project
Qualifications:
- Possesses or pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in related field
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
- Ability to work at least 20 hours per week with a maximum of 28 hours per week
- U.S. work authorization without sponsorship required
CRDF Global pays interns at a rate of $16.50 per hour.
