Job Description

CRDF Global is seeking candidates for its 2023 Summer Internship Program in support of the NIH Programs under the Global Health Division. The internship will be located in our Arlington, Virginia office and will begin on June 1st and end on August 31, 2023. We work in a hybrid environment that provides employees with a weekly mix of in-office and remote work.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who can work both independently and as part of the team and who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. The Intern will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of professionals at CRDF Global to support the implementation of a large process improvement initiative.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Perform process improvement tasks, including but not limited to:
    • Draft process maps
    • Draft standard operating procedures
    • Review existing materials, update, and organize those materials
  • Participate in process improvement meetings
  • Draft other program and project materials
  • Assist with the discovery of system data
  • Assist with program logistics, as needed
  • Conduct research on program-related topics
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Possesses or pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in public health, international relations, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project
  • An understanding of basic project management concepts
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly with database entry and spreadsheets; and excellent proofreading and organizational skills
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, and to effectively communicate about the status of projects
  • Ability to work in teams and independently
  • Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work at least 20 hours per week with a maximum of 28 hours per week
  • U.S. work authorization without sponsorship required

CRDF Global pays interns at a rate of $16.50 per hour.
