About D3

The Fraud Center of Excellence (FCOE) team within D3 (Data, Discovery, and Decision Science) brings a collective lens to Allstate’s fraud fighting efforts – working to implement universal solutions using data science, artificial intelligence and industry insights. The Fraud COE enables Allstate to improve customer value and grow its customer base in a safe and secure way by:

  • Discovering, identifying and illuminating fraud enterprise-wide
  • Empowering enterprise teams to make quick risk and return decisions based on shared facts and supporting those actions
  • Measuring effectiveness of fraud controls and monitoring fraud

Job Description

This role is on the FCOE supporting fraud risk identification through the Risk and Return Learning Loop Framework. This team has accountability for discovering, identifying, and illuminating fraud enterprise-wide, owns and enforces the Enterprise Fraud Policy and Standards, and leveraging the Learning Loop Framework to develop fraud risk and return decisions for the business areas enterprise-wide.

An integral component of the FCOE’s mission is to identify fraud risks across the enterprise, mature and elevate the transparency of fraud risks and controls across the enterprise, and risk and return decisions to drive prioritization of enterprise fraud risk capabilities/solutions. To accomplish this, the FCOE completes a review to determine fraud risk exposures using data, analytics, process maps, and root cause analysis or problem solving. This role is looking for a seasoned, experienced professional to join the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deepens understanding of enterprise-wide view of fraud risks, mature, and elevate the transparency of fraud risks and controls across Allstate.
  • Performs analysis to identify possible fraud. Identifies areas for increased controls and reports that to the front-line business through a risk and return decision framework.
  • Leads the collaboration of identifying risk in a particular business area or customer journey within Allstate to drive risk-based risk and return decisions and adherence to fraud policy and standards.
  • Identify gaps in current systems, policies, and strategies and recommends enhancements and process improvements based on assessment of fraud systems and processes. Risk assesses the effectiveness of controls in place.
  • Analyzes activity to detect and prevent fraudulent activity based on reports, alerts, or notifications.
  • Support development of the risk and return decision, creating fact base to quantify value of mitigation efforts to enable the business to manage the risk decision.
  • Effectively communicates emerging and/or changing risk and related control opportunities and enhancements to management.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 3 or more years relevant experience, applying a risk-based framework/approach
  • 3 years of analytics/data reporting, assessment, and Excel experience
  • 2 years of insurance experience and business controls/fraud technology experience preferred
  • Has experience with e-commerce and transactional fraud
  • Preferred experience working on a team using an Agile methodology
  • Preferred some experience using an Archer GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) tool
  • Solid understanding of fraud risks, and risk management processes to identify and monitor fraud risks within the organization
  • Be comfortable navigating the grey, dealing with ambiguous projects
  • Strategic thinking and ability to theme quickly while having attention to detail

Compensation Data

Salary range is $64,700to $95,000 salary comensuratewith experience

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
