Description

Job Summary:

Hallmark Media is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to lead and manage a variety of project, program and portfolio assignments focused on technology, applications, business process and business change management. The role will partner with the team leadership to set project objectives, allocate resources, and set milestones, deliverables, and success criteria to drive projects to successful completion, on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have experience leading cross-functional teams, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a deep understanding of project management principles.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Apply PM/SDLC best practices, standards and tools for project execution and management.
  • Manage cross enterprise projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, activities, tasks, assignments, milestones, and estimates.
  • Develop and tracks issues and risks.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Provide project updates on a weekly basis to various stakeholders on strategy, adjustments, progress, schedule, metrics, and overall project health.
  • Coordinate and tracks the activities of the project team, including implementation vendors, architects, business analysts, technical staff, and business stakeholders. Follows up to ensure on-time completion of project tasks.
  • Conduct / attend meetings with project team members and stakeholders, accurately records discussions, decisions, and action items.
  • Manage project team and vendors in development, implementation, and governance processes.
  • Coordinate testing activities, including performance and security testing.
  • Control project scope and enforces strong project change management process.
  • Own project issue resolution and risk management.
  • Look for opportunities to leverage technology to achieve business unit objectives.
  • Ensure the business units understand the technology solution, overall solution delivery, and compliance to governance processes, standards, etc.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines.
  • Some travel may be required for the purpose of offsite training, conferences, and office visits.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Demonstrated project and portfolio management skills, including project planning, budgeting, and controlling processes.
  • Understanding of application development and software development life cycle concepts. (Agile, Scrum, SDLC).
  • Ability to understand and communicate/present detailed and advanced business solutions.
  • Ability to communicate up and down the management chain, providing the appropriate level of detail and focus on the right information.
  • 5 years direct experience in business related applications and project management.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project, JIRA, Confluence.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools like Mural, MS Whiteboards, etc.
  • Experience with various office software and systems, such as Windows OS, Office suite, etc.

Other Requirements:

  • University degree or college diploma preferred.
  • PMP and PMI-ACP certifications preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Proactive, highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience working individually and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to conduct research into application development issues and products.
  • Industry experience a plus.

The salary range for this job is between $106,900 and $145,400. Salary rates will take into consideration several factors including location.
