Vice President Securitized Product

Business Overview:

As part of Corporate & Institutional Banking, BNPP is building a new Securitized Product IT team. This team is fully integrated to the Front Office IT organization and will cover both Global Credit and MBS Business Lines.

The team will participate to the build of an e-commerce platform helping the business grow multiple folds.

Responsibilities:

An outstanding opportunity to join us as an experienced Developer on Securitized Products working on the tactical and strategic e-commerce platform. We support all the métiers viz. Trading, Application Production Support, Risk Managers, Business management, Research, Middle Office and Back Office/Settlement systems for Securitized Products.

The development tasks involves front end, service tiers and back end as well as adhere to software development best practices including DevsOps and DevSecOps, IT Security Protocol and project management. All tasks are under the supervision of Securitized Product Team lead with direct interaction with MBS and Credit Sales and trading desks and the assistance of quantitative research team. Your responsibilities will include:
• Collaborating with Front Office Trading and Quant teams to understand their requirements and implementing new product features.
• Participating in the features design and Sprint planning.
• Developing front end and services with clean and effective code and ensuring of scalability and performance.
• Implementing and integrating new features with existing analytic platform.
• Production support and fixing bugs or other coding issues.
• Coordinate the efforts in Testing, Build, deployment and documentation.
• Work with other IT teams globally including Application Support Team, DBA and Core Infrastructure IT team.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

5-7 years of full-time work experience within risk and P&L development.
• Very good understanding of Fixed Income products, specifically MBS, bonds and linear products.
• Analytical minded the mathematical ability to learn complex quantitative concepts quickly
• Excellent knowledge of Python (with scientific packages)
• Good knowledge of Excel / VBA.
• Good knowledge of MS-SQL
• Pattern & Practices (CI/CD, Unit testing, Code Coverage, Peer review, Object Oriented Programming, Agile Methodology)
• Follows best practice for software development
• Team-working skills and being a proactive team player with a “can-do” attitude
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize with a focus on delivery
• Excellent time management
• Communication able to work with local and remote teams
• Enthusiastic to learn about Mortgage (or other Fixed Income products) Trading, Pricing, and Risk Management concepts

Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Python (3-5 years of experience).
• Knowledge of VBA / Excel interface (Add Ins, scripting).
• Knowledge of SQL or Oracle
• Knowledge of DevOps such as Bitbucket/Jenkins/SONAR/Artifactory or Ansible
• Experience in the full software development lifecycle including Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Able to work under pressure and flexible and willingness to make things happen.

The expected starting salary range for this position in New York is between $148k to $188k annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
