At the present time, a vacancy exists in the Instruction Systems Design (ISD) Department for a Multimedia Specalist.
LOCATION:
The incumbent in this position will report to and work out of one of our school campus locations – West Chester (Eastern PA) or Murrysville (Western PA), based on the incumbent’s permanent address.

SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Multimedia Specialist will provide support to the Administrative team, Instructional Systems Design (ISD), Content Developers, and teachers in the context of planning, creating, editing, producing and publishing educational media. The Multimedia Specialist will be responsible for editing digital material after development and prior to publication on our learning platforms for student use. The Multimedia Specialist will be responsible for providing assistance to teachers in the creation of instructional videos. They will also provide training in editing in iMovie and filming with iPads. The Multimedia Specialist will edit videos to a professional level for any teacher that requests assistance. The Multimedia Specialist will also be responsible for inputting the media into the Learning Management System (LMS) or other media outlets. The Multimedia Specialist will also create media for use with 21st Century Cyber Charter School, this can include but not limited to marketing, field trips or assemblies. The Multimedia Specialist will help evaluate and manage the school’s curricular videos and video library
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Review and edit digital material after content development and prior to publication for grammar, copyright, ADA compliance, readability, and overall design and layout.
2. Use professional software (such as Screenflow or the school’s current video vendor software) to create course content and materials to support instructional initiatives.
3. Manage the input of all instructional videos into the LMS — maintain/repair digital media in the LMS.
4. Works closely with the ISD team to create/adopt comprehensive style guidelines for all projects, ensuring they are executed and maintained in a consistent manner throughout the development process for all instructional content developed in-
house.
5. Help teachers create engaging videos for their lessons and classes.
ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS:
1. Ability to successfully complete long-term projects that may require the application of repetitive processes to ensure uniformity across all 21CCCS course offerings.
2. Organizational and project-management skills — ability to communicate clearly and effectively, function independently and collaboratively, multi-task and meet required deadlines
3. Competency with computers and computer software (to include, but not limited to: MS Office Suite, Google Suite, Adobe)
4. In depth experience with/knowledge of online educational learning management platforms, technologies and eBook development tools.
5. Must have strong knowledge of editorial, production and digital product development. In depth knowledge of the application and compliance with copyright constraints is required.
6. Research-based experience developing digital curriculum, incorporating state core educational requirements, with a focus on the methodology of online course delivery and enhancing the user experience in an online learning environment
7. In depth knowledge of editing and production software and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education & Experience
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field, which may include: Education, Educational Technology, Communication, Journalism, Computer Programming & Information Systems, Web Design, Instructional Design, and Instructional Systems Design 2. 1 – 3 years experience with instructional design, curricular program design, instructional systems configuration and/or systems integration is preferred
B. Professional or Other Required Certifications 1. PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS coding skills is preferred

$$64,219.06 – $79,499.34 per year
