Business Analyst

Sentara Health Plan is currently looking for a Business Analyst to join our team

* This position is 100% remote but candidates must have a current residence in one of the follow states or being willing to relocate: FL, GA, IN, MD, NV, SC, NC, SD, TN, TX, WA, VA, WV,WA, WI

Minimum Requirements:

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.

Required Experience:

1 – 1 1/2 years’ experience with Model Audit Rule

Knowledge of internal controls and risk management

Basic computer skills required to plan and execute Model Audit Rule testing.

Ability to work independently with limited guidance on multiple tasks.

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Preferred but not required:

1 – 1 1/2 years’ experience’ experience in healthcare

1 – 1 1/2 years’ experience in analytical and problem-solving skills

For applicants within Washington State, the following hiring range will be applied: $ 61,239 – $88,146

Partner with business owners to develop or assist in developing Model Audit Rule (MAR) documentation, including internal controls and risks. Analyze financial internal control effectiveness and assist in implementing internal control enhancements or process modifications with maximum effectiveness and business efficiency. Maintain confidentiality of all information reviewed and tested.

Partner with business owners internally to develop or assist in developing Model Audit Rule (MAR) documentation, including internal controls and risks. Analyze financial internal control effectiveness and assist in implementing internal control enhancements or process modifications with maximum effectiveness and business efficiency. Perform business process consulting to assist in formation of process maps, and policies/procedures related to the creation of a process. Lead or perform internal control detailed testing for Model Audit Rule, regulatory audits and other audits as assigned. Maintain confidentiality of all information reviewed and tested.
