Data Management and Quantitative Analysis – M4Manages multiple data management and/or quantitative analysis teams through subordinate managers. Oversees data management and/or quantitative analysis activities including the preparation of data sets and the conduct of statistical, financial and econometric modeling for internal or external clients.Leads the data management and/or quantitative analysis activities for assigned area. Manages and executes implementation plans for process improvements. Ensures staff have all required resources to execute their assigned activities. Accountable for the performance and results of the function. Manages data vendor relationships. Ensures system costs are understood and contracts are managed appropriately. Establishes procedures for implementation of new data related technology enhancements / implementations. Ensures more junior managers compliance with the Banks standards and best practices. Designs business-appropriate system controls and enforces adherence to controls.Leads the teams analysis of client and business needs through more junior managers. Leads the teams production of management reporting and analyses. Ensures the quality of day-to-day services provided is in line with service level agreements in place for each client and contributes to the achievement of functional performance targets. Ensures business requirements are executed as expected.Establishes the strategic focus for the function and ensures that functional goals align with the objectives of the enterprise. Recruits, directs, motivates and develops more junior managers, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Implements performance management programs and handles manager performance reviews. Provides feedback at the most critical times.Translates complex technical concepts and analyses to non-technical audiences. Delivers reports and presentations to senior leaders.Manages multiple teams and completes performance management activities for more junior managers.Responsible for the supervision of managers and coordination of functional resources. Establishes functional priorities, policies and procedures. Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.7-10 years of total work experience with at least 1-3 years in management preferred. BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $119,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
