Description:Avionics team leader for a developmental flight test program. Responsible for all facets of Operational Flight Program (OFP) software, Vehicle Management Systems and associated aircraft avionics subsystem hardware. Manages the planning and implementation of OFP modification, integration, acceptance and regression testing. Plans and oversees the modification, maintenance and operation of the program Software/Hardware Integration Laboratory facility. Directly supports operational flight test activities in the Mission Control Room. Supervises the tasking and performance of junior engineers supporting avionics development and test activities.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, equivalent experience/combined education considered.
Experience as a Technical Lead of an Avionics/Electronics-related program or project.
Familiarity with:
• Vehicle Management System architecture
• Operational Flight Program development
• Agile software development
• Simulator and Hardware / Software Integration Lab development and operation
• Software Qualification Testing
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with integration and operations of air vehicle avionics and associated systems including:
• Vehicle Management System Computers
• Guidance, Navigation and Control systems
• Pilot Vehicle Interface systems
• Embedded GPS/INS
• Actuator Control Systems
• Propulsion Digital Engine Controls
• Air Data systems
• Redundancy management
• Built-in Test and fault detection
• Network/bus technologies and interfaces (Ethernet, 1553, etc)
• Software project management with JIRA
• Familiarity with the Airworthiness Certification process as it relates to avionics and software
Prior experience supporting flight test operations, including mission control room support
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as, having ability to collaborate, organize, motivate and lead a group of diverse personnel that includes customers, partners and suppliers
• Willingness to travel to and work at a remote, austere operating location

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $142,100 – $267,600. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
