Looking for the next step in your Journalism or Reporting Career? Our client, an Emmy Award-winning Media Organization, is hiring Reporters to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 recent years of experience as a Reporter, Journalist or News Editor and will be responsible for covering their assigned territory by covering pressing news events, developing sources, community building and delivering news of value.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW:
- Salary: 45,000-$60,000 (commensurate upon experience)
- This is a W2, full-time permanent role.
- This is an “On the beat” role. Reporters will need to commute to their assigned territory throughout the week.
- Lehigh Valley, PA area is the territory. Relocation required for applicants outside of this area.
- All candidates will be required to submit samples of stories covered including (not limited to): Written Articles, Videos, Story Strategy, Etc.
- COVID Vaccinations are required for all employees of this organization.
- Relocation assistance provided when qualified.

- Creative when it comes to telling stories and delivering live shots.
- Imaginative when it comes to telling stories as a multimedia journalist.
- Able to shoot and edit in the field.
- Able to shoot and edit broadcast quality video for television newscast, radio phoners/audio interviews, quick cellphone photogs, and cell video for digital.
- A digital natural who posts story updates to social media platforms as they develop stories.
- An innovator who can learn new technologies as they develop.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or 2-3 years of professional television newscast experience.
- Must have a reel/demo
- Bilingual Spanish or other language a plus
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work long hours as required
- Valid driver’s license
