Position Summary:
As a skilled liaison between Allsup and the client’s disability claims teams, the Client Facilitator II serves as a knowledgeable technical resource regarding Allsup’s services, client-specific processes, SSDI, integration of benefits, and disability overpayments.
Essential Job Functions:
- Analyze newly approved long-term disability files referred by Allsup’s commercial client(s) to identify viability for an SSDI application. Accept, defer, or reject as appropriate and accurately perform all related system updates.
- For potential Accepts, call the claimant to introduce Allsup’s services and the relationship with the disability carrier. Discuss viability for an SSDI application, referencing information within the long-term disability claim file including medical severity, limitations, duration out of work, and prognosis.Educate the claimant on advantages of an SSDI award, along with integration of SSDI with LTD benefits. Explain the advantages of selecting Allsup as their representative and gain the claimant’s agreement to utilize Allsup’s service.
- Learn and utilize the client’s disability claim system for research and to document individual SSDI status updates and information.
- Upload referrals or manually create the Allsup claim file. Securely transfer documentation electronically between the client’s system and Allsup’s system.
- Provide support to Allsup personnel in their efforts to develop applications/appeals for SSDI representation by securing the necessary disability claim file documentation and engaging the client representative when appropriate.
- Build, maintain, and cultivate positive working relationships with disability claims teams and other key contacts at the client.
- Serve as a SSDI subject matter expert and provide consultation on specific cases for the client’s disability claims teams.
- Research and resolve client inquiries and service issues in a professional and timely manner, escalating to Allsup management as needed.
- Participate in educational training, team huddles, or meetings with the client’s disability claims teams to discuss Allsup, services, case consultations, or SSDI-related technical topics.
- Work independently utilizing critical-thinking skills to exercise professional initiative, good judgment, and workload prioritization while strictly adhering to all confidentiality practices.
- May entail travel to client office location (infrequent).
Requirements:
- Disability claims experience with Allsup, DDS, OHO, SSA, or the insurance industry (LTD/STD) strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of the integration of SSDI with disability benefits and overpayments required.
- Comfortable talking with claimants about Allsup’s representation service, how an offset works, and the integration of SSDI with LTD benefits.
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent Allsup experience strongly preferred.
- Requires excellent grammar, spelling, oral and written professional communication skills, along with excellent human relations skills.
- Must possess strong problem solving skills and the ability to cultivate innovative ideas and to manage change.
- Must display a high level of confidence, initiative, and drive to succeed, as this position can be fast paced and ever-evolving.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word required.
