Social Media Strategist

We are seeking a Social Media Manager to develop and execute innovative social and creative marketing strategies for Microsoft.

Responsibilities :

    • Develops social and digital strategies, including driving the research direction and insights for the development of social campaigns
    • Provides guidance on evolving social media channels, platform updates, and trending content, identifying and evaluating new opportunities as they pertain to the client and budget
    • Evaluate quick turn, reactive social content opportunities, manage editorial calendar development and social media performance
    • Partners with creative teams to ensure the creation of high-quality and effective content against business goals
    • Maintains strong attention to detail and strategically manages a large volume of creative content
    • Creates and documents best practices for editorial calendar development, including workflows, tools, and responsibilities.
    • Exhibits solid understanding of key client information including general business strategy, industry issues, and trends, products and services offered, key customers, and competitors in the digital and social marketplace
    • Provides sound counsel to clients as well as be comfortable providing editorial and response recommendations to clients
    • Works collaboratively with all implementation teams to ensure that the brand’s communications/marketing objectives and strategies are met
    • Commits to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; sets and pursues stretch goals
    • Understands the vision of our business, and his/her own role in achieving it

Basic Qualifications:

    • At least 2 years of experience in digital or social media-related efforts, with at least two years building social media strategies
    • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in journalism/business/marketing

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Familiarity with social media management tools and platforms; experience with Sprinklr is a plus
    • Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
    • Solid grasp of digital marketing, a strong social media footprint, and passionate about emerging social media trends and technology
    • Demonstrated track record of developing and executing creative, engaging, and successful digital marketing and social media programs for clients
    • Experience in client relations including having the ability to understand and assess a client’s business needs and communication needs and meet those needs through successful digital and social programs
    • Flexible, agile, and able to adapt to new conditions, assignments, and deadlines
    • Serves as a positive role model; supports and respects colleagues, clients, and partners; focuses on self-improvement and ensures work is based on strategic insights
    • Listens and asks the right questions during day-to-day work; upholds creative, ethical, and legal standards
    • Detailed-oriented, and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple project deadlines and creative assets efficiently
    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to be effective in creating compelling content
    • Pushes for creative ideas; is purposeful and enterprising in problem-solving; embraces diverse trends, skills, specialties, and viewpoints
    • Effectively and consistently manages strengths and weaknesses of self and others; enables self and others to bring the best of their skills and talents to work; is consistently proactive and ambitious in setting and achieving goals
    • Demonstrates a strategic and thoughtful approach in challenging others to ask the right questions; prioritizes the interests of client service excellence ahead of individual advancement

$56,000 – $84,000 a year

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
