RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Information
CSS is seeking dynamic individuals to join its Enterprise Data Management Program Office. The Data Management Program Office (DMPO) is responsible to develop the Enterprise Data Strategy, Data Management Policy and related Standards. In addition, the DMPO orchestrates and monitors the effective execution of required data governance practices across the organization to ensure adequate implementation of required ‘Standard of Care’ for the Enterprise data assets as per business and regulatory requirements. DMPO defines the Enterprise roles and responsibilities to manage enterprise data and promotes data management and governance literacy across the organization to cultivate the data driven culture.
This is a very visible and dynamic role that interacts with many cross functional teams, management, and various internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate is passionate about data governance and data intelligence best practices and is a self-starter as well as able to work collaboratively with cross functional team members across the organization. This candidate will be responsible for developing and establishing data governance frameworks, processes and practices for all enterprise data domains to support the corporate policy and applicable ‘Standard of Care’ for Enterprise Data to meet regulatory requirements, working with data owners and data stewards.
Key Job Functions
- Design, develop and orchestrate implementation of enterprise-wide data governance frameworks to ensure effective application of ‘Standard of Care’ for Data Management.
- Analyze, develop, update existing data governance related policies, processes and procedures.
- Establish best practices for Data Management and Governance and facilitate adequate implementation through define roles and responsibilities-based ownership and accountability- in partnership with data owners/stewards across the enterprise.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and policy guidelines through effective governance, monitoring and reporting of Data Governance KPIs and KRIs.
- Ensure operationalization of Data Governance processes and change management workflows to be in place, through collaborative engagement with business domains and data governance team.
- Track, monitor and report to senior leadership about timely resolution of any identified incidents of non-compliance with Data Management and Governance Standards and Controls, across the organization.
- Create visuals and relevant content to communicate status updates, progress, Data Management Program success metrics with Data Council, Key Stakeholders and Senior Leadership.
- Elevate data governance issues, risks, and gaps and recommend solutions through reports and status updates on data governance initiatives to the governance committees as required.
- Assess program effectiveness on an ongoing basis in an engaging manner with benchmarking data points.
- Make Data Governance Program successful through promoting awareness and literacy for data management maturity across the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelors degree or higher in related discipline.
Minimum Experience
- Minimum 4 years of related experience in data governance or business analysis and leadership role.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring employer sponsorship currently or in the future. CSS does not offer H-1B sponsorship for this position.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills
- Ability to work with cross-discipline teams and foster collaborative relationships with key internal enterprise stakeholders.
- Experience in establishing and executing data governance or data stewardship programs, as well as knowledge of data governance, data management and data quality standards and practices.
- Strong team player and has the capacity to work collaboratively and effectively with cross functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Result oriented, accepting responsibilities and challenges that take them outside their comfort zone.
- Risk Management, Information Security, Privacy and Compliance related experience is a plus.
- Experience with industry frameworks, including DMBOK, EDM DCAM or EDM CDMC is preferred.
- Experience working with Data Governance tools, including Collibra or Informatica.
- Experience with data analytics and BI tools.
- Knowledge of Cloud data technologies in AWS, Snowflake.
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Partners well with peers, subordinates, managers and functional partners.
- Strong self-organization and self-management skills.
- Banking experience and knowledge of industry regulatory requirements is preferred.
Pay Range $90,535 to $153,467
CSS’s pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law. CSS offers a competitive total compensation package, which includes a performance bonus, 401k match, healthcare coverage, PTO, and a broad range of other benefits.
