Studio Director
Location(s): Chicago, IL or Virginia Beach, VA. Will consider highly qualified candidates from additional locations within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.
Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model (remote and office) with pulse point sites used for collaboration, community, and connection.
As Studio Director you’ll be a key marketing leader responsible for providing management and organization to our creative team. Our team is composed of creative directors, designers, writers, production artists, editor/animators, and proofreaders working together to develop best-in-class content, member communications, and advertising. We are looking for a leader to nurture a positive environment while driving speed-to-market across a high volume of projects.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Oversees multi-channel communication production to ensure on-time and efficient delivery.
- Oversight of a team of writers, production artists and proofreaders who execute a robust range of campaigns and content across multiple channels.
- Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
- Create a best-in-class in-house capability that will serve the creative content needs across our Medicare and Medicaid lines of business.
- Ensures collaborative output and cost-effective solutions.
- Ability to lead, coach, inspire, and motivate a team to create and deliver truly remarkable, influential, and impactful work.
- Train outside partners on brand guidelines- agencies, freelance support.
- Engaging regularly with the Marketing Team to get a shared understanding of upcoming initiatives as well as changes in priorities and schedules to be able to allocate resources according to project demands.
- Assigning projects, workload balancing, and managing capacity across a large team.
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 6 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Prior experience in a leadership role with direct reports
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field
- 6+ years’ experience in agency or in-house agency
- Ability to lead teams and shape/lead growth vision
- Strong influencing skills
- Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communications skills
- Team oriented: ability to work well with diverse, cross-functional teams
- Agency experience and/or health care knowledge
- Healthcare product/industry acumen
- Experience with Workfront or other project management platform
- A thorough understanding of the end-to-end creative skills and steps necessary to bring multi-channel projects through development and production.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $106,720 to $192,096.
