BioTrans LLC is a global logistics provider specializing in cold chain transportation, technology and infastructure for the life sciences industry.
Shift: 40 hrs a week, Saturday to Tuesday, with early morning start times as early as 4:00 am *Overnight Stay in Hotel paid by company
Shift Highlights Include: Saturday route to Kansas City for overnight. Sunday morning and returns to Denver, unloads and sorts. Monday morning local deliveries and return to the hub, Tuesday, Warehouse duties, maintenance and Ad Hoc jobs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate, load, unload and deliver freight utilizing a small box truck or cargo van
- Adhere to assigned routes and follow time sensitive schedules that require detailed attention
- Ability to navigate surrounding areas using GPS and comfortable with scanning devices
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; fuel the truck as needed; evaluate and report issues through the appropriate parties (dispatch/ managers)
- Comfortable climbing into and out of vehicles repeatedly with no difficulties. Able to lift, bend, stop, twist, move, push and pull up to 40 pounds; tolerate prolonged sitting while driving
- Clean, wash and sanitize assigned vehicles
- Ability to: Perform duties in all weather conditions; comply with local traffic laws and speed limits; read maps and/or navigate vehicle to delivery sites; maintain good work habits including reporting to work on time; learn and comply with all company work rules.
- The work is characterized as light work. Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Minimum Requirements and Employee Expectations
- Must be at least 21+ years of Age
- Valid drivers license
- Experience driving cargo vans and small box trucks.
- Be a quick learner, detail-oriented, dependable, have a positive attitude and willingness to work
- Basic computer, tablet and/or smartphone skills and GPS and other routing systems
- Show basic knowledge of Pre and Post trip inspection of vehicles
- Some mechanical aptitude to handle basic vehicle inspections for maintenance purposes
- Acceptable driving record (2 or fewer moving violations in the past 3 years and no DWI/DUI in the past 5 years for insurance purposes).
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening
- Must NOT be restricted for access on military bases and government facilities
