What you will be doing

The Supply Chain Strategy & Transformation team has an opening for a Business Analyst – Supply Chain Strategy & Transformation.

The Supply Chain Strategy & Transformation team is responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing large scale business strategies across a multi-year transformation roadmap. We work with partners across the organization and benchmark best-in-class leaders to continue to drive game-changing opportunities across Albertsons supply chain. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven recommendations that can lead to operational efficiencies and cost savings. The position will be based in Pleasanton, California, Boise, Idaho, or one of our main regional offices.

Main responsibilities

  • Analyze data from various sources and extract insights to support supply chain decision-making processes.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and other analytical tools to monitor supply chain performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including purchasing, logistics, and operations to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support business cases, such as identifying cost savings opportunities, inventory optimization, and transportation network design.
  • Provide analytical support for key supply chain initiatives, including product launches, supplier selection, and strategic sourcing.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of supply chain processes and systems and use this knowledge to drive data-based improvements.
  • Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders across the organization in a clear and concise manner.
  • Identify data quality issues and work with relevant teams to address them.

The salary range is $80,100 to $104,160.00 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked). PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). What we are searching for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in data analytics, with a focus on supply chain management
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and at least one data visualization tool such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience working with large and complex data sets.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and patterns in data.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate complex data insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
