Overview:
The Paramount Streaming Innovation team ignites new ideas via learning events, internal marketing communications, ideation workshops, and more. We foster a Culture of Innovation among product and technology experts that are building best in class streaming services such as Paramount+, BET+, PlutoTV and more.
The Director of Communications and Events will tell the evolving story of innovation within our Paramount Streaming. This role reports to the Senior Vice President of Innovation and Emerging platforms and will lead the team’s delivery of events and communications across a large and growing organization.
Responsibilities:
- Create and promote a constant output of communications (videos, email campaigns, newsletters) and events (webinars, guest speakers) that aim to spark creativity and innovation
- Curate an editorial calendar and establish cross functional relationships to capture a broad overview of cultural events happening at Paramount
- Be a student and absorb the brilliant work of teams like Digital Product, Program Management, Engineering, and Design
- Manage the work and career growth of the Comms/Events Manager role
- Collaborate with both internal and external production partners on videos and more
- Give voice to the work being developed and make it accessible to the massive internal audience at Paramount. You are telling the story of how we build world class streaming services
- Track the performance of communications and events and establish growth goals for both reach and engagement
- Inspire the teams and source experts to speak at learning events for the broader team
- Collaborate with the Innovation Program Senior Vice President on long term planning and look for ways to drive more visibility and constantly iterate/improve upon the program
Basic Qualifications:
- BA / BS Degree
- 5+ years hands-on communications experience, preferably around streaming entertainment and technology
- Exquisite writing and presentation skills
- Proven track record of giving creative direction and feedback on videos, scripts, newsletters, and more
- An avid consumer of tech news; insatiable appetite for what occurs at the intersection of technology and entertainment
- A deep inner-geek that wants to learn about how the whole system works via conversations with engineers, product managers, and product designers
Additional Qualifications:
- Familiarity with modern productivity and collaboration tools such as G Suite, Asana, Airtable, Miro, Figma, and more

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $125,000.00 – 155,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
