Associate director, erp integrations

Job Summary:

Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) helps administrative units provide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) services to UW-Madison and UW System constituents. EBS supports cloud applications, on premise vendor solutions, integrations and custom systems through business analysis, application design, programming, testing and project management.

The Associate Director of ERP Integrations will work in the University Enterprise area of EBS. The University Enterprise area is responsible for enterprise services including constituent relationship management (CRM), marketing automation, low code/no code, and ERP focused integrations. The Associate Director will direct and manage professional staff including technologists, project managers, and business analysts. A key area of responsibility is ensuring the successful transition of ERP ancillary systems as part of the Administrative Transformation Program (ATP).

We support a hybrid work environment. While many of the duties can be completed remotely, the Associate Director is expected to be onsite for periodic meetings and select events.

Responsibilities:

Develops and directs the implementation of strategic plans for enterprise information technology (IT) function(s), program(s), or service(s) to ensure resources are utilized to provide effective administrative, research, outreach, and/or instructional information technology services. May directly manage IT services.

  • 35% Directs strategic information technology planning initiatives and establishes objectives for the institution to ensure appropriate use of financial, administrative, staffing resources in alignment with the strategic plan
  • 20% Develops operating policies and procedures to comply with regulations, institutional policies, and unit objectives
  • 15% Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
  • 5% May develop and audit institutional budgets and/or financials
  • 5% Serves as a liaison representing the interests of the institution to internal and external stakeholders
  • 5% Advises institutional or divisional leadership on information technology operations and business models
  • 5% May perform manager functions
  • 5% Provide leadership to support and encourage a customer service focus and the delivery of high quality, secure and reliable services
  • 5% Promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
– Experience with team building and with collaboration strategies.
– Practical experience with a range of delivery models including Agile and DevOps.
– Knowledge of Enterprise Integration strategies, techniques, and processes.
– Experience establishing and maintaining effective collaborative working relationships with stakeholders, customers, staff, and vendors.
– Experience with effective methods of written and oral communication, meeting leadership and facilitation, and formal presentations.
– Knowledge of information technology tools, practices, and methodologies.

In addition to required qualifications, the most qualified candidates may also have the following preferred qualifications:
– Knowledge of the principles of organization, administration, and management.
– Experience in workforce planning or project staffing.
– Knowledge of the techniques and theory for supervision of professional technical staff.
– Knowledge of project management, project estimation, work plan preparation, and project change control.
– Experience building out new IT programs and services, including program budgets, metrics and staffing plans
– Experience working with IT service owners to align IT services to enterprise architecture and service management / service delivery standards

Full Time: 100%

Hybrid: The candidate selected for this position may perform a combination of on-site and remote work subject to an approved remote work agreement (RWA) agreement. Remote work requires successful candidates to possess their own high-speed internet and phone to perform the work on a university provided computer. Per University policy, transportation between home and assigned work location is not payable/reimbursable and will be at the expense of the employee.
