Double Eagle is an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contract that supports and operates a 24x7x365 command and control facility for the government in Aurora, CO, and other geographically dispersed sites. The program provides operations and engineering support for a constellation of spacecraft.
You will join a dedicated and high performing group of Engineers focused on
• Support global missions and work on global systems
• Develop and continually refine software tools to extract / interpret data, perform trending analysis on system hardware and software, and work under minimal supervision to resolve unexpected software / hardware issues independently and/or with a team of experts when needed.
• Analyzing and optimizing mission parameters, capabilities, and operations
• Act as a program authority and spokesperson for programmatic related issues and coordinate/collaborate directly with numerous program teams
• Participate in and/or lead working groups and make presentations/recommendations to customers and the leadership team on detailed technical aspects of the system
• Some Members of our Team work rotating shifts in our Operations Center. The Ops Center is the heart of what we do and the core of our mission. This is where we deliver our product to our customer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

As a Payload Planning Engineer (PPE) you will primarily receive intelligence needs, translating these needs into sophisticated engineering strategies, and assess the approach’s performance. The successful candidate will work closely with others in architecting joint SIGINT approaches and strategies to meet interpreted national levied requirements, work with technical advisors, calibration experts, and customers to develop strategies, and optimize products, perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into sophisticated collection approaches, use general performance assessments using tools to ensure optimal task design and satisfaction is expected. Additionally, the successful candidate will provide independent research to ensure customer requirements are being fulfilled commensurate with their stated priority.

Basic Qualifications:
• TS/SCI w Poly
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience – degree or experience preferably in a science and technology related program such as Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or other applicable field.
• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, including US Citizenship.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and obtain technical certifications in a variety of functions or missions to perform on console tasks
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment
• Ability to effectively communicate
• Ability to effectively problem solve
• Proficiency in use of Office Tools (Microsoft products)

• Previous Mission Planning or Mission Scheduling experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $76,600 – $146,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
