As the Senior Cloud/Edge Processing Architect you will:
• Help the team to perform advanced research and development to rapidly deliver operational capabilities as well as to create new business opportunities.
• Be responsible for overseeing APME’s cloud computing strategy, including cloud application design, cloud management & monitoring.
• Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, cross-functional as well as multi-disciplined teams to advance product development strategies using agile development processes to meet business requirements.

The successful candidate will have delivered or have knowledge of delivering IT solutions as platform virtualization (PaaS); as an application for customers’ use as a service on demand (SaaS); or infrastructure/resources (IaaS). Further, the candidate will work to independently determine and develop approach to technological advancements.

Typically has 5 – 10 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning along with relevant professional experience
• Demonstrated experience as a Cloud / Edge Processing professional or equivalent
• Strong team collaboration, communication, and presentation skills
Must be a US Citizen as this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
• Master’s degree with a minimum of 7 years’ related professional experience
• Experience with container and orchestration applications such as Kubernetes, Podman, and Docker
• Experience with AWS, Azure or other cloud environments
• Experience in performing edge technology functions, including:
o Analysis of complex environments
o Design and communication of pragmatic architectures
o Development of conceptual, logical or physical hardware / software designs verification
o Dynamic languages such as Python, Bash, Perl, Java, and PowerShell
• Understanding of DevSecOps principles through design, development, and deployment of cloud applications
• Demonstrated experience working through the full lifecycle phases of a space development programs or rapid prototyping and development activities
• Regular use of ingenuity and creativity
• Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) and Electronic Warfare (EW) experience
• Experience and knowledge of Agile/ SAFe methodologies
• Strong inter-agency collaboration prowess with Senior personnel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9×80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $89,600 – $171,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
