Ground Test Systems Software Engineer as a member of the Orion Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) Software
team to support real-time test operations and maintain test set software in support of the Orion Program.
Oversees the requirements, architecture, preliminary design, integration and testing of ground software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Ensures software standards are met. Candidate will be responsible for developing ground software components to include; test tools, command and control, device driver, and EGSE components. Candidate will participate in all phases of SW development to include: requirements and interface definition, high level design, detailed design, development, COTS HW/SW and system integration. Candidate must have the ability to work in a team-oriented environment to achieve long-range goals and objectives. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to perform self-initiated assignments and apply advanced software development/debug principles and techniques. Candidate will also work with hardware and software CPEs to verify and validate the ground software.

Basic Qualifications:
Extensive experience developing software with LabVIEW, LabVIEW FPGA, and LabVIEW Real-Time for test and measurement applications
Experience with test and measurement equipment, both NI and non-NI, such as power supplies, DAQ (AI/AO/DIO), DMMs, Switches, and Relays
Experience with communications protocols such as VISA, TCP, and RS-232/422 and experience with Linux OS
Desired Skills:
Experience with other software languages, primarily Python and/or C/C++
NI LabVIEW Certified Developer or Certified Architect
Experience with software tools to perform version control (Perforce), peer reviews (code collaborator), and bug/issue reporting (Jira).
Candidate should have knowledge of basic software practices such as coding standards and unit testing.
Candidate will work in a team environment utilizing software methodologies and processes. Strong communication skills required.
Candidate must be able to apply logical thinking and creative problem solving to development of new capabilities or troubleshooting existing systems.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $85,900 – $164,600. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
