A real estate company is looking for a Property Evictions Coordinator to join their team. As a Property Evictions Coordinator, you will be managing the evictions process for our client. The role involves working with tenants who have fallen behind on payments or violated their lease agreement, so you must be able to remain calm and level-headed when communicating with individuals who are upset.
You will be required to collect payments, attend eviction court proceedings, provide legal guidance to property supervisors and oversee a small team of customer care coordinators. The ideal candidate will have experience in property management or tenant law and be able to handle a difficult job with professionalism and empathy. This is a fully onsite position in Artesia, CA.
Pay Range: $65,000 – $70,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee collections owed
- Attend court proceedings on behalf of the owner
- Supervise a team of 3-4 Customer Care Coordinators
- Provide guidance and education on legal changes related to property management
- Handle cash-for-keys deals and provide training to property supervisors to do the same
- Call tenants daily (or assign team members) to collect on outstanding debts and manage escalated situations
- Assist property supervisors in managing evictions and staying up-to-date on changes to California law and regulations
- Work with other departments to ensure a collaborative and respectful work environment
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in collections at a property management company
- Strong managerial skills and experience overseeing a team
- Ability to work with upset individuals and remain positive and level-headed in high-stress situations
- Experience with cash-for-keys deals is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required
