Description:As a Software Engineer Staff for Lockheed Martin Space you will directly help develop, integrate, and deploy innovative ground systems that enable global integrated operations to support the Joint warfighter. Within the Advanced Programs division the Software Engineer Staff candidate will:
• Contribute toward the architecture and development of a robust mission management subsystem to support the warfighter
• Utilize Agile methodologies to enable rapid maturation of key system components
• Use your excellent communication skills to work across the Lockheed Martin organization and customer/user community to ensure consensus and understanding of solutions
• Serve as the technical lead by providing guidance, tasking, and mentorship for a team of software engineers
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree from an accredited college in a related discipline along with a minimum of 9 years relevant professional experience.
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Experience with C/C++/Python/Java or other related software languages
Desired Skills:
• Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance
• Experience engaging with Department of Defense customers and stakeholders
• Technical, cost, and schedule performance management
• Demonstrated experience working through the lifecycle phases of development programs
• Experience working with RF hardware including Phased array and parabolic antennas; software-defined radios, signal processors, Solid State Transmit/Receive (T/R) Modules, FPGAs
• Ability to lead multi-functional teams to communicate and coordinate work as one team with common goals
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customers
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
• Demonstrated ability to get results from teams without direct authority

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9×80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $105,000 – $201,100. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
