We’re contracting a Sales and Partnerships Lead to sell integrated advertising & sponsorship programs focused on OkayMedia’s social media and editorial properties covering Hip-Hop and African culture.
As a contracted Sales and Partnership Lead, you’ll hunt for new business and manage a book of individual accounts. You will sell and manage social media & editorial advertising, and seek lucrative partnerships for OkayMedia, a legacy culture brand in the B2C media space. The ideal candidate is experienced in sales, has deep relations with B2B business decision-makers as potential sponsors, and can leverage those relations to secure real-time revenue.
- Grow new advertiser cohorts within various companies investing in Hip-Hop culture and the global African experience.
- Co-author Media Kit and Rate Card with leadership
- Leverage industry resources to identify advertiser prospects and maintain client relationships.
- Seek and execute strategic partnerships that align with our brand values and generate revenue.
- Sell advertising inventory pulled from our social media platforms and create sponsorship programs to achieve optimal success.
- Work closely with operations, product, and marketing teams to fulfill client contracts.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve or exceed target revenue goals
Requirements
- Proven track record selling social media and editorial inventory and audiences to businesses.
- Established relationships with business decision-makers at businesses that invest in Hip-Hop culture and the global African experience.
- Lead hunter with strong closing strategies
- Versed in B2B ad sales with experience selling advertising in the B2B space with an emphasis on social media selling.
