Job Duties
The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), Division of Procurement and Administrative Services seeks a qualified and skilled procurement professional to assist the central procurement unit as well as agency customers with procurement related responsibilities.
This position will provide administrative support to the Central Procurement Unit. This includes but may not be limited to sourcing, requisitioning, receiving and related accounts payable functions; assisting with routine small purchase charge card administration functions; and helping with contract renewals and records retention.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience procuring goods and services. Knowledge, experience and application of the Commonwealth of Virginia procurement policies and procedures as set out in the Agency Procurement and Surplus Property Manual (APSPM), the Virginia Public Procurement Act (VPPA) and the Vendor’s Manual (VM). Experience managing multiple tasks and working independently in a detailed fast paced environment.
Experience with eProcurement and Microsoft products, specifically Excel and Word. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to interact with agency staff and contractors. Must have demonstrated ability deliver excellent service to our customers.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in a related field; or any combination of training and experience.
Additional Considerations
VCA, VCO, or other purchasing certification. Experience using Bank of America or other purchase card application.

Position is limited to working 1500 hours in a 12-month period from May 1 to
April 30. No benefits are associated with this position. This position can be a teleworking position located anywhere in Virginia or there is office space available at DCR headquarters in downtown Richmond if desired.
