Job Description Summary
The City of Goodyear is looking for Adult Sports Site Supervisors. The purpose of this position is to provide excellent customer service to all program patrons by exemplifying a positive attitude and exceeding the needs of patrons. This position performs tasks such as setting up adult sports game sites, submitting scores and reports, enforcing league rules and policies, and providing excellent customer service to adult sports participants. These positions will be site leads for: We are looking for staff with a background in softball/baseball.
We are hiring site leads for our recreational adult softball leagues at the Goodyear Recreation Campus and Goodyear Community Park. Softball site lead shifts are 5:30 – 10:30 PM or 6:00 – 11:00PM.

Essential Functions
Experience working in a adult sports setting is highly preferred. Some college or equivalent experience preferred. Must provide proof of CPR and First Aid Certifications within one month of hire date.
A valid Driver’s License is preferred.
Requirements
- Supervises and implements the execution of an activity, event or program with minimal direction. Exercises the necessary supervision of personnel to meet the needs of the activity, event or program.
- Communicates to Recreation Coordinator or Recreation Programmer regarding incidents, decisions and issues pertaining to activities, events or programs. Responsible for the completion and filing of accident and statistical reports regarding incidents and issues pertaining to programs, as required.
- Supervises and implements the distribution, care and use of supplies and/or equipment for assigned programs.
- Ensure proper maintenance of recreational facilities and equipment to provide a safe and sanitary environment, notifies supervisor of any problems and/or concerns.
- Ensure City policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are strictly enforced; responds to and resolves complaints; advises and provides assistance to individuals and groups on related recreational problems; assist the general public and responds to their questions, comments, and/or concerns.
- Performs on-site program inspections and evaluations to ensure compliance with program and city safety policies and procedures.
- Maintains awareness of new developments in the recreation field and offer suggestions to the Recreation Programmer or Coordinator.
- Attend meetings as assigned. Assist with other recreation programs, as requested. Some positions may require the performance of additional position accountabilities and/or related duties.
- Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
