Job Summary

The Energy Scheduler position contributes to the Gas Supply team goal (to optimize all natural gas transportation and storage assets) by performing daily gas scheduling tasks for all applicable markets in a timely and accurate manner. The candidate will comply with all PSE&G utility and relevant pipeline tariff requirements and communicate all relevant information to necessary stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Interact with traders, suppliers, receiving entities, and natural gas pipelines in assuring transactions are nominated accurately and timely. Monitor and schedule Timely and Intraday cycle changes to meet the requirements of PSEG customers.
  • Accurately enter all required scheduling information into the Company’s systems and those of the natural gas pipelines as required.
  • Perform analytical functions relating to natural gas transportation and storage.
  • Gather, organize, maintain, and post operational data to assist BGSS asset optimization.
  • Analyze, distribute and provide insight into pipeline maintenances and restrictions to all stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Maintain records and reconcile with those of suppliers and natural gas pipelines.
  • Assist Accounting and Settlement groups with invoice discrepancies resulting from potential pathing differences.

Job Specific Qualifications

  • BA/BS and 6-7 years experience; 8 years experience in lieu of degree

Desired:

  • Advanced Degree in Accounting/Finance/MIS or MBA
  • Extensive knowledge of FERC, regulations, tariffs, manuals and processes
  • Experience in related energy scheduling and coordination functions
  • Exposure to contracts, computer systems (Aligne) and experience in a trading or logistics environment
