This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer your DoD Secret clearance.
In the Program Manager role, you will support the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Program Office (PNT PO) with cutting edge modernization / development, and ongoing sustainment of a variety of GPS receivers and user equipment to meet DoD and national-level priorities. In this role, you will:
- Duties include supporting the identification, documentation, and implementation of acquisition and sustainment related activities to plan, develop and implement program strategies across multiple OTA, MTA, and ACAT programs; and milestone preparation and documentation
- Liaison work with other AFLCMC Program Offices, and operational units across DoD involved with GPS/PNT modernization activities
- Provide expertise in support of the overall project lead, Integrated Product Teams, conferences, and meeting
You will be responsible for providing acquisition management support services to ensure the delivery of acquisition services in support of the customer’s mission. Services include some or all of the following:
- Develop new approaches to resolve challenges/problems and support the implementation of acquisition strategies for assigned projects
- Evaluate program and mission requirements to establish detailed objectives and integrate these activities with other program and functional elements within the program office and outside organizations
- Implement courses of action by preparing and drafting/reviewing detailed acquisition plans, development and production schedules, engineering change proposals, and design studies
- Perform contractor-designated activities for assigned projects and identify problem areas for potential further study and evaluation
- Assist with defending the program position at program reviews, conferences, and other functions by providing higher level management with status and decision information on assigned programs/projects
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A U.S. citizenship
- This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer an active DoD Security clearance (Secret)
- A Bachelors Degree
- 10 or more years of related acquisition experience
- Have participated in the development, coordination, and execution of major program milestones (preferably ACAT 1 but ACAT II/III acceptable)
- Experience with defense acquisition management processes as contained in the DoD 5000 series directives
- An excellent written and verbal communications skills
- A clear understanding of the OSD and USAF Acquisition organization
- Travel up to 10% of the time (if required)
Additional desired experience and skills:
- Top Secret Clearance
- Masters Degree
- Level III DAWIA Certification (Acquisition Program Manager)
- 4 years of acquisition experience supporting a major weapon system Program Office
- Experience with GPS systems, electronics, and/or aircraft integration

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $101,250.00 to $168,750.00; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
