Description
The Community Support Specialist II provides services to individuals with Psychiatric Disabilities who are living in their own housing in the community. Under the direction of the Program Supervisor, and with other team members, this individual is responsible for involving Individuals Served in a person-centered approach to planning and participating in recovery facilitating rehabilitation and enrichment services designed to help the person achieve personal mental health recovery and develop a full and satisfying life.
Alongside team members, the Community Support Specialist II assists in ensuring that daily operations within the workgroup are consistent with TSI’s mission statement and guiding principles as well as the agency’s Psychiatric Rehabilitation Approach Mission statement and values.
$1,000 sign-on bonus
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field and one (1) year of PD/MH, ID, Residential, or Human Service experience equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- The ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to use core rehabilitation skills and the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
- The ability to perform basic computer data entry required
- Valid PA Driver’s License
