Position Description:

CGI Federal is looking for a Team Lead for an exciting opportunity. You will be responsible for leading a high performance team in the development of conceptual, logical, and physical data models for an Intelligence Community Mission Program. We are searching for a seasoned, visionary who is passionate to learn about state-of-the-art hybrid data modeling to include NoSQL, relational, and graph database technologies. In this role, you will be required to establish a vision and lead a team to deliver a state-of-the-art, high-performance data solution to meet or exceed mission requirements.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Lead the enhancement of data models using requirements and guidance from data owners
• Oversee migration of test and production data from legacy systems into new state-of-the-art hybrid models.
• Understand and translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions for cloud-based NoSQL, relational, and graph databases.
• Lead the design and implementation of data strategies, data flows and conceptual data models.
• Lead the creation of logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality, reduced redundancy and Normalize the data to at least 3NF.
• Understand and lead the development of strategies to support compliance with metadata standards and prescribed ontologies in a loose coupled manner.
• Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models.
• Recommend opportunities for reuse of data models in new environments. Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scripts.
• Evaluate data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies.
• Validate business data objects for accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Degree: Bachelors
• 7+ years’ experience in design/develop the database models (conceptual, logical and physical)
• Experience with Data modeling Tools: Erwin, ER/Studio, or any native DB modeling tools SQL DB Diagrams, MySQL Workbench etc.
• Experience with SQL
• TS/SCI Clearance required, with ability to obtain CI Poly.

Desired:
• Experience with PostgeSQL
• Experience with NoSQL and/or Graph Databases (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, Azure Cosmos, JanusGraph, etc.)
• Experience with OpenCypher, Apache Gremlin, or Graph Query Languages

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $128,590 to $165,255.
