Job Overview

We are currently looking to hire a Senior Vice President, Program Management. This team member will be a part of the Finance, Operations and Risk department’s Corporate Development team with responsibility for leading and managing the Execution Center of Excellence (ECOE) team. The ECOE team is comprised of extremely talented program and project managers, and business analysts who manage large, complex and multifaceted initiatives across the organization in support of the firm’s strategy, with emphasis on growth, business transformation, risk reduction and scale initiatives.

The job requires regular interaction with senior inter/cross-departmental leadership, as well as executive and c-level firm leadership. Having the experience, presence and poise to command the respect and trust of senior management and other highly driven and independent professionals is necessary.

This position requires advanced execution, organizational and communication skills, the ability to operate in a highly dynamic multi-tasking environment, and demonstrated ability to creatively define, develop, and execute plans to solve highly complex matters in support of achieving desired business outcomes.

Having a strong work ethic and being an effective communicator will be imperative to the success of any individual in this role.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be a strong, hands-on project management leader and creative force in the development of a team crucial to deliver an industry-leading internal and external client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and upskilling to program management / project management / business analyst team through hiring, development, coaching and performance management of the team
  • Create shared vision, inspire collaboration, influence key LPL leaders without authority and drive change with momentum.
  • Develop a strategy and lead it’s execution to make the project management as a core competency of the organization.
  • Leading and managing large, complex and multifaceted initiatives across the organization in support of the firm’s strategy.
  • Partnership and regular interaction with senior inter/cross-departmental leadership, as well as executive and c-level firm leadership.
  • Institutionalize learnings and provide a framework for ongoing execution and measurement of key organizational initiatives.
  • Provide thought leadership in the project management space and drive innovation for the firm.
  • Continuously research and develop new methodologies and explore the use of new tools to enhance execution of projects.

Key Attributes

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business administration or mathematics or related discipline
  • Typically, 15 – 20 or more years of related professional project management experience in the financial services/brokerageor related industry
  • Strategic program management and/or Strategic Consulting experience highly preferred.
  • Experience to deliver business outcomes for complex initiatives from building the business case through execution.
  • Demonstrates both breadth and depth of knowledge & experience regarding execution of large complex projects, manage risks, issues and develop and implement tracking and reporting systems.
  • Experience, presence and poise to command the respect and trust of senior management and other highly driven and independent professionals is necessary.
  • Strong work ethic, being an effective communicator, and a sense of urgency will be imperative to the success of any individual in this role.
  • While the position requires technical mastery, it also requires the strategic agility and business savvy necessary to work cross-functionally, champion ideas, marshal resources, and drive end-to-end execution.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, problem solving, and decision making skills

  • Broad range of agile, SAFe 5.0, change management, program management, business, and leadership skills required.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, written, and interpersonal skills needed to influence customers, (internal and external) and other managers.
  • Ability to effectively manage communications during complex program environment through communication planning, information distribution and performance reporting using formal program management practices.
  • Ability to deploy change management approaches, best practices and tools that will support the transformation introduced with complex programs.

Certifications

  • PMP
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher (preferred, not required)
  • Leading SAFe 5.0 (preferred, not required)
  • SAFe Practice Consultant – SPC (preferred, not required)

Pay Range:
$182,720-$274,080/year

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
